The Denver Law Contract Work Initiative is a program to assist recent grads who are interested in doing contract work as they continue to pursue permanent employment, or who are waiting for a position to start at a later date. We started this program in 2011 and have gotten strong results with the program. We are hoping this year’s effort will lead to more job opportunities.
While most job seekers are looking for permanent work, short-term contract work can be a great way to build your skills, avoid gaps in your resume, and bring in some income. In the best case scenario, a contract position can even lead to permanent employment. Most of the contract work that has come in through this initiative in past years has involved large document review projects, but it has also resulted in other types of work from time to time. Through this posting, we are creating a resume book of recent Denver Law grads who are available to do contract work. Once we have collected the resumes (i.e. after this posting expires) we will begin to market the program to the local legal community.
If you would like to participate in the Contract Work Initiative please upload your resume (making sure it is error free) to this job posting by the application deadline. This program is primarily targeted toward class of 2021 Denver Law JD grads (and will be marketed that way to the legal community); however, other Denver Law alumni (and former students who visited at Denver law for at least a semester) are also welcome to participate.
