Husch Blackwell, a full-service law firm, has an immediate opening for a Data Privacy Associate. The opening is for our Denver office but we will consider candidates in other locations. This an excellent opportunity to join a growing and dynamic data privacy practice.
The ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience working either at a law firm or as inhouse counsel advising clients with data privacy laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Experience drafting online privacy policies, data processing agreements, transfer impact assessments, and DPIAs is preferred. Knowledge and experience working with ad tech compliance issues also is preferred. A certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) is required.
The candidate must have an excellent academic record, superb writing and negotiating skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a team, superior judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Candidates must have a state bar license. We will consider relocation for qualified candidates.
Pursuant to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the compensation range for this position in Denver only is $170,000 to $180,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Associates are eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus. In addition, employees receive a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, and vision.
