Hamre, Rodriguez, Ostrander & Dingess, PC, is seeking to hire an attorney to join its busy practice in an Of Counsel or Associate position. The firm focuses on land use and water law, with an emphasis on eminent domain and condemnation, water rights, oil & gas, and real estate litigation.
The firm is busy across all of its practice areas, so candidates with experience in water law and/or the firm’s other areas may be considered. Candidates seeking to do water work must have taken a water law course in law school. Candidates seeking to do real estate and other property-related work must have litigation experience. Relevant coursework and work/internship experience is also highly desirable.
The firm is open to postgraduate candidates at all levels of experience and May 2021 graduates awaiting bar results are encouraged to apply.
Salary Range: If this position is filled with an attorney in a Special Counsel role, the compensation will be based on a negotiated rate per hour, subject to modification based on generating attorney, experience, work product, and time with the firm. Special Counsel attorneys typically start at $150/hour billed and collected. Special Counsel attorneys are independent contractors offering great flexibility with no required billing minimum, but also no benefits offered. If this position is filled with an Associate Attorney, the salary will be negotiable and based on experience and agreed upon billing minimum. Associate Attorneys typically start between $70,000-150,000 and expected to bill between 1400-1800 hours (as negotiated), with benefits including health insurance, participation in a retirement program, paid time off (starting with 10 days), and paid sick leave (starting with 5 days).
