The Fellowship Program will provide an opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with the structure and functioning of the state court system, hone their legal research, analytical and writing skills, develop hands-on experience in a courtroom setting, and gain an appreciation for public service.
The Fellows will serve as law clerks to the Judges for a maximum of four months from the first day of work, a period not to exceed 320 hours, during which time fellows will work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. Fellows will work closely with District Court Judge(s) and responsibilities will include legal research and analysis, legal writing and case management. Fellows will be paid $12 hour. This is a temporary, part-time, non-benefited position. This opportunity is exclusively for members of the Class of 2017 (this includes anyone who has graduated between 9/1/17 and 8/31/18).
