The Alaska Department of Law’s Criminal Division is seeking highly motivated and energetic applicants to fill several positions statewide.
Alaska’s Criminal Division has offices in thirteen communities across the State, including offices as far north as Utqiagvik, a town situated along the Arctic Ocean, and as far south as Ketchikan, Alaska’s first city. Each office is situated in unique communities with diverse cultural heritage and plenty of opportunity for adventure. Alaska offers something for everyone.
Together the offices prosecute violations of state criminal law. The prosecution of cases creates the opportunity to gain trial experience as well as to engage in pretrial motion practice, grand jury presentations, daily court hearings, post-conviction, and appellate work.
We are seeking applicants who are community oriented; enjoy a fast-paced work environment; have the ability to manage numerous matters simultaneously; possess the ability to think critically and reason logically; and have the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
These are full-time positions with a competitive benefits package including a generous leave policy and health insurance. For more information about the benefits package, please visit the following website: https://drb.alaska.gov/employee/.
