Interested in clerking for the U.S. Tax Court in Washington D.C.? Applications for the U.S. Tax Court Law Clerk Interview Days are due August 10.
The U.S. Tax Court will host a virtual version of its Law Clerk Interview Days beginning September 8 and concluding September 11, 2020.
1. Application Submission – Students interested in submitting applications should do so via the Court’s website – www.ustaxcourt.gov. The application portal will open on August 3 and close August 10. Applicants should first select the Employment Tab and then the Law Clerk Program to see the list of Judges participating in Interview Days. Candidates may submit application packets to one or more participating Judges.
2. Application Materials – All students are asked to provide a cover letter, resume, writing sample of no longer than 10 pages, and J.D. and LL.M. (if applicable) transcripts. Letters of reference also may be provided, but are not required. All documents should be provided in PDF format.

3. Interviewee Selection – Each participating Chambers will contact the applicants they are interested in interviewing. Virtual interviews will be scheduled between September 8 and September 11. Note: Chambers may make independent arrangements for interviews.
