Judge Richard T. Morrison of the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C., is now accepting
clerkship applications for a 2021-2023 term.
Applicants should have an interest in taxation and possess strong academic credentials, superior
research and writing skills, and excellent communication skills. Applications should include a cover letter, resume, unofficial undergraduate and law school transcripts, at least one writing sample, and a list of references or letters of recommendation.
Please submit your application materials through the Court’s website at
https://www.ustaxcourt.gov/lca. In lieu of applicants uploading letters of recommendation, recommenders may e-mail their letter
of recommendation to mjewett@ustaxcourt.gov.
Judge Morrison reviews applications on a rolling basis and anticipates conducting phone or video
interviews.
