Exciting opportunities to apply to work in a public sector fellowship post-graduation are available to the class of 2020 right now!

Application period OPEN: Colorado Civil Justice Corps

Applications for the Colorado Civil Justice Corps fellowship program are now available and due March 31.  The CCJC fellowship allows third year students to apply to work for two years after graduation at a nonprofit agency, providing civil legal services to people who have been victimized.

The 2020 placement sites are:

Justice & Mercy Legal Aid Center (two positions)

Metro Volunteer Lawyers (one position)

Project Safeguard (one position)

Application period OPEN: Denver City Attorney Fellowships

This is an opportunity for Denver Law 2020 graduates to work for one year with the Denver City Attorney. You can apply to any unit in the office, which include family law, prosecution, airport law, municipal law, policy, and more!  Applications are due APRIL 6.

Students should apply separately to each section they are interested in working for. There is a posting in Symplicity for each section (Job #s 21885, 21886, 21887, 21888, 21889, 21890, 21891). You can submit the same resume and writing sample to each section, but should have an individualized cover letter explaining your interest in each section. Reach out to the CDO for advice about which sections to apply for (and how many).

There are a wide range of opportunities at the Denver City Attorney’s Office, from prosecution to child welfare to environmental, contract, and airport law. You can learn more about each section here, and in the postings in Symplicity.
