Pledge to Diversity 1L Summer Clerkship Program Info Session Power Point

In case you could not make the 11/12 info session on the Colorado Pledge to Diversity Program*, please see the below power point (click on the icon). The info session was recorded and will be available for viewing here by noon on 11/13 (select “Pledge to Diversity Information Session” from the drop-down menu). Applications are due in early January before classes start, thus students typically work on applications over winter break.

*The Colorado Pledge to Diversity Summer Clerkship Program (the “Program”) is sponsored by the Colorado Pledge to Diversity (the “Pledge”), a non-profit organization consisting of law firms and other participating constituents in the Colorado legal community. The Program’s primary purpose is educational. In furtherance of this purpose and given the historic under-representation of diverse lawyers in the legal profession, the Program seeks to provide a means for exposing diverse law students to opportunities in the legal profession and vice versa. The participating employers recognize the importance and value of having students with various experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives work at their firm or company. The Program is made available to University of Denver, University of Colorado, & University of Wyoming  first year (or equivalent evening) law students from diverse backgrounds that have been traditionally under-represented in the practice of law. These include law students who are ethnic or racial minorities, students with disabilities, and/or gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender students.
