The Lawyer in Residence program is a 12-18 month position.  Eligibility is limited to CU or DU grads obtaining their JDs between 12/1/18 and 7/1/19.   In Symplicity, is it posting #18217.   The deadline is January 4th at 11;59pm. Our Lawyer in Residence (“LR”) will be part of a high performing, responsive legal team dedicated to supporting business initiatives. With oversight and mentoring from other lawyers in the global legal department and with input from colleagues across the globe, the LR will support finance, treasury and tax initiatives; review, analyze, negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial contracts; support corporate governance projects; and address issues arising from global distribution and licensing agreements. In addition, the LR will work extensively with several internal stakeholders, including finance, IT, human resources, real estate, environmental and procurement on day-to-day legal issues that arise, as well as on longer term strategic projects which require cross-functional participation, such as data privacy. In general, the LR will gain exposure to many facets of the business through assisting more senior lawyers in providing legal advice and support to the company. The LR will also gain experience in working with, and managing, external counsel on commercial, international and other matters. The nature of the work is anticipated to increase in significance and complexity as the LR gains experience and knowledge of the business.
