Attorneys & Law School Students September 2018 Direct Appointment Program
Apply at:
10 August 2018: Complete and submit the online application
1 September 2018: Complete interview with Staff Judge Advocate
 Attorney: Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the highest court of any state or federal territory
 Law Student: Must have completed 2/3 of the credit hours required for your Juris Doctorate (graduate awaiting bar results/licensing)
 Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school
 Citizen of the United States of America (birth or naturalization)
 Must be commissioned as an officer before the age of 35 (3 year waiver ability)
Selection Criteria:
The Air Force JAG Corps selects applicants based on the “whole person” concept. Selection factors include: academic performance; work experience; leadership traits; extracurricular activities; personal integrity; demonstrated elements of core values; awards and honors; adaptability and flexibility; motivational statement; and military records (if applicable).
