Lawyer in Residence Program – Apply via Symplicity, CDO ID# 16241

Eligibility is limited to persons who received or will receive their J.D. from either the University of Colorado Law School or the University of Denver Sturm College of Law between 12/1/17 and 7/1/18. In addition, the LR will work extensively with a number of internal stakeholders, including finance, IT, human resources, real estate, environmental and procurement on day-to-day legal issues that arise, as well as on longer term strategic projects which require cross-functional participation, such as data privacy. The LR will also gain experience in working with, and managing, external counsel on commercial, international and other matters. Summer Legal Intern – To apply, follow instructions below

Molson Coors is seeking to hire one second-year law student to work as a summer legal intern based in downtown Denver, Colorado, but working on a wide range of issues throughout the company and world.

In-house counsel at Molson Coors address a wide range of legal issues impacting the manufacture, sales and marketing of the company’s products (such as contracts, intellectual property, marketing, IT, international distribution agreements, trade practices unique to the beer industry), as well as day to day business operations (finance, treasury, real estate, procurement, environmental).

Our hope is that the Summer Legal Intern will learn a great deal not only about the beer industry and how it operates, but also about the nature of working in-house at one of the largest beer companies in the world.

As a Summer Legal Intern, your responsibilities will be varied. On one day, you could be reviewing real estate leases and then assisting counsel in drafting provisions for a software agreement. On another day, you could be fielding questions from field marketing managers on contract interpretation or researching data privacy regulations. The next day, you could be analyzing the provisions of a licensing agreement or participating in negotiations with a potential distributor in Latin America. Each day will be different.
