Welcome Back!

Happy New Year and welcome back!  We are looking forward to working with you on your career planning and job searches this semester and beyond.

I am writing to introduce you to our newest Career Consultant, Samantha Rutsky, and to update you on some other exciting developments in the CDO.  Samantha is a Career Consultant with a focus on private sector employment opportunities. She has experience advising on a variety of private sector careers, and has contacts in both large and small firms in Denver. Prior to joining the CDO, Samantha practiced family law at several small firms in Denver. Samantha earned her JD, cum laude, from the University of Akron School of Law and earned her BA, cum laude, from The Ohio State University. To learn more about Samantha and the rest of our staff, please visit our CDO Staff Bio Page, which has contact information for each team member.

Over the past few months, we have made other structural changes as well, which we expect will greatly benefit students and alumni.  We have promoted Felicia Ho to an Assistant Director position where she will continue to focus on private sector careers. In addition, we have added to our team both Elise Logemann, Assistant Director—Public Service and Gayle Keahey, Assistant Director—Private Sector.  These changes have increased the size and bandwidth of our team.  As a result, we are already making inroads with additional employers and developing new opportunities, including new postgraduate public service fellowships.   Below is a list of our career advisors and our specific areas of expertise.

  • Eric Bono, Assistant Dean: Private Sector, Public Service, Judicial Clerkships
  • Elise Logemann, Assistant Director: Public Service, Judicial Clerkships
  • Gayle Keahey, Assistant Director: Private Sector
  • Felicia Ho, Assistant Director: Private Sector
  • Judy Stein, Career Consultant, Public Service, Judicial Clerkships
  • Andrea Montague, Career Consultant, Public Service, Judicial Clerkships
  • Samantha Rutsky, Career Consultant, Private Sector

With the recent changes in the office, some students may be assigned a new career advisor so you have a designated point person in our office. Regardless of your assigned counselor, however, you are always free to schedule with any of our career advisors. Once again, we look forward to serving you this semester!

Regards,

Eric Bono
