PAID Part-Time Summer Job – Summary Judgment Docket Study

Summary Judgment Docket Study

IAALS, the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System at the University of Denver, is looking for help with a docket study being conducted as part of an evaluation of summary judgment practice in federal court. The work involves reviewing district court civil case information in the federal electronic case management system and entering data into an Access database.

They are looking for 2 or 3 MSLA or law students, with work scheduled to begin in June 2017 and end in August 2017. The data entry will be 10-15 hours per week (2-3 hours per day). Scheduling is relatively flexible between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, but the data entry must be done at a dedicated IAALS computer station in John Moye Hall, located next to the law school. Some coordination in scheduling is also required given the shared computer/work space. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour. Applications—including a cover letter, resume, and writing sample—should be submitted to brittany.kauffman@du.edu, preferably by June 12, 2017.
