Have you ever wondered what a typical day is like for an in-house attorney? Do you know whether working as in-house counsel is the practice setting for you? Come hear about life as an in-house attorney from a group of new and experienced attorneys who will share what a “typical” day is like at their company, how they got started in their careers, and answer questions from law students. This event will be held on November 8 (Election Day!) from 11:30 am-1:00 pm in Room 412.
The structure of the program will be interactive/roundtable format consisting of 9 attorneys in a variety of in-house legal settings and the idea is to provide the students with a glimpse of what a “typical” day for an attorney looks like at that company. From 11:30 am-12:00 pm, students will have the opportunity to network with the participating attorneys. At noon, we will start with the panelists introducing themselves and their employers. Following introductions, the panelists will each oversee one table and students will have an opportunity to meet with the attorneys at each table for approximately 15 minutes (3 rotations). We will leave about 10 minutes at the end for closing remarks and additional networking. We will have questions for the panelists to use to guide the table discussions, but we hope the conversations develop organically.
Given the interactive nature of this program, spots are limited. Please RSVP here by Friday November 3, 2016.
