The 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is coming on-campus on November 8, 2016 to interview for 2017 summer opportunities.
The 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office (Adams and Broomfield Counties) is one of the largest district attorney’s offices in the State of Colorado and prosecutes thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases every year. Our internship program places law students directly in the courtroom, where they get hands on experience working with Deputy District Attorneys and have face-to-face interactions with criminal defendants, defense attorneys, and victims of crime. Legal interns are given the unique opportunity to conduct actual jury trials, as well as to engage in motions hearings, court trials and direct plea negotiations with criminal defendants and their attorneys. Interns are mentored by Deputy District Attorneys and have the opportunity to build relationships with senior members of the District Attorney’s Office, as well as judges, police officers and other members of the legal profession.
This is a terrific opportunity for any law student seeking trial experience and/or seeking a career in public service. The office is interviewing for all divisions including trial and appellate. For more information and instructions on how to apply, please visit Symplicity #13923.
